1600 Men for Christine Blasey Ford, 2018
Designing the arresting full-page New York Times ad that pays homage to 1991’s signed by 1600 Black women.

Futures Without Violence is driven to end violence against women and children worldwide.
In 2018, Godfrey Dadich Partners helped them make an important statement at the height of Christine Blasey Ford’s sexual assault allegation against then Supreme Court nominee, Brett Kavanaugh. -
We collaborated with the Futures Without Violence team to create an arresting full page New York Times ad. It features the names of 1600 men who have signed in support of Dr. Ford; an homage to the ad that ran 27 years prior for Anita Hill.
When I volunteered to create the ad, I immediately recognized the design’s responsibility to maintain the integrity of the original—part of its power relied on it.
The final product is just that: an almost identical layout to 1991’s with a few appropriate enhancements such as modern typeface choices and a geometric border that hugs the entire page.
Although simple in its execution, this project remains one of my proudest. -
