Since 1984, Departures has been serving exclusive editorial content to American Express Platinum Card Members. In 2021, the legacy brand reintroduced itself with a new sophisticated look and confident perspective in the luxury travel and lifestyle category.

It was important that this reel not only build excitement around the dramatically new look of the brand, but emphasize the core strategy: to enlighten Card Members with unexpected perspectives from around the world.
The combination of bold music, fast tempo and delightful weave through type, color, photography, design and supers is intended to keep viewers engaged up until the last second.
The main use case was for press and external promotion at the time of the product release in June 2021. -
